Lt. Col James T. Wilson

Lieutenant Colonel James T. Wilson has been the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Marietta High School for the last 19 years. He currently has over 300 cadets in his program. His unit has been a Distinguished Unit the past sixteen years, and they have earned the Distinguished Unit with Merit for their superior performance during each of their inspection year. His Unit currently has six cadets attending the Military Academies. Colonel Wilson was selected as a 2016-2017 AFJROTC Instructor of the Year, the Air Force Association (Dobbins, GA Chapter 331) Instructor of the Year and the Marietta High School “2009-2010 Teacher of the Year”. He has also earned the 2015-2016 Superintendent’s Award and was selected as the Marietta City Schools Employee of the Year 2010-2011 as a result of his outstanding performance and dedication to the Marietta City Schools mission. Lt Col Wilson was commissioned a 2Lt and a distinguished graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Alabama State University.

CMSgt Jose G. Alfaro

Chief Master Sergeant Jose Alfaro was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He entered the Air Force in March 1982 and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after serving 30 years in Mar 2012. Chief Alfaro has been an AFJROTC instructor since 2012. He instructs physical training along with teaching classes. His goal is to influence healthy eating and exercise among the cadets.

MSgt Nicholas C. Smith

Master Sergeant Smith is from Cleveland Ohio and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served 21 years in the military and received an Associates degree through the Air Force Community College. Msgt Smith served as an administrative specialist who primary worked with classified information. After retiring in 1994, he received a Bachelor's degree in history and a Masters degree in Education. Msgt. Smith is currently in his 25th year of teaching.
